I am thrilled to welcome you to Divine Artistries. My artistic journey has been a deep spiritual pursuit to uncover my purpose. Through this process, I learned that God requires us to nurture the gifts He bestows, making it my mission to cultivate these talents “one artwork at a time.”

Biography
Driven by her passion to develop her creative gifts, Michigan native Chakila L. Hoskins has pursued rigorous artistic training. She began honing her God-given talents at Grand Rapids Community College (AFA, 2009) before earning her BFA in Painting and Drawing (cum laude) and MFA in Painting from Kendall College of Art & Design of Ferris State University (2012, 2016). Expanding her skill set into the digital realm, she added certificates in Graphic Design (2022) and Digital Marketing (2025) from Wilmington University to her credentials.
Influenced by her upbringing and life experiences, Hoskins’ art explores themes of family, unity, spirituality, and eternal life. Passionate about making art accessible to everyone, she integrates braille poetry and biblical scriptures to create a sensory experience for the blind and visually impaired. As an Atlanta-based artist and educator, Hoskins runs Divine Artistries LLC (www.divineartistries.com), offering custom paintings, drawings, jewelry, apparel, and private lessons to foster creativity in aspiring artists of all ages.
